Seeing the Trees for the Forest

So, okay. The new tree form is ugly. But you know what? So was old tree form. At least now we look lush and vibrant instead of, like, barren old hags.

Yohannes: Cataclysm

Tyrk tells me an entire district in Stormwind was destroyed by Deathwing. Coccinelle says Booty Bay is a mess. Dounonurnese' description of the Barrens' rift is impressive. Those are so distant, though. Amazing tales from far away lands.

I did not truly comprehend the Cataclysm until I came to Darkshore and went out in search of survivors from Auberdine. I knew Gwennyth Bly'Leggonde. We all knew Gwennyth and were very fond of her. Most of The Nation spent time gathering samples for her the whole length of Darkshore's coast. I found Gwennyth dying on the beach. I held her as she gasped her last breath. There were so few survivors. All along the beach north of Auberdine I found the scattered corpses of our fellow Night Elves, former trainers and associates.

More than any of the lands' upheavals, more than all the raw destruction wreaked by Deathwing's return, this is the Cataclysm's most painful blow. My once immortal friends are now forever dead.

Tyrk: Fall of the Lich King

I never planned on fighting the Lich King. I mean, I wanted to help the Ashen Verdict in what ways I could . . . but whoa. Man. So when the Crimson Dragon said, "hey, we're assaulting Ice Crown again, do you want to come along?" Of course I went. I just didn't realize they'd already cleared their way to the Frozen Throne.

It was a rough fight. Arthas killed us all. Fortunately Tyrion was there to save the day.

Nanisivik: Trust

I must have collected enough food to feed a whole army of these cats. And I can't believe there are any Frostmaul Giants or Winterall Furbolg left in Winterspring. I finally earned the trust of the Wintersaber Trainers, though. Finally.
